Sobokuya is a small yet ambitious architecture and construction company based in Yatsugatake, Japan, with a growing international presence. In addition to our office in Hanoi, Vietnam, we opened a new office in Tokyo this year, where we also run a tea house café. Our next expansion is planned for Dubai, UAE.

At Sobokuya, our skilled carpenters and designers collaborate to create projects that embody our unique approach to design. We believe in achieving harmony between human lifestyle and nature, and that great design arises from simplicity rather than excessive decoration.

By merging traditional Japanese construction techniques with modern design and materials, our projects are crafted to engage with their surroundings, reflecting the unique characteristics of their users and environment.

Purpose of the exhibition:

Our goal is to introduce traditional Japanese woodworking techniques and kigumi construction methods while promoting their sustainability and cultural value on an international scale. Additionally, we aim to build relationships with potential customers and partners in the Middle Eastern market, particularly in Dubai, to enhance the brand recognition of Sobokuya.
