Products
‘Cera Filter’ is a reusable coffee filter made of ceramic.
It was carefully made making use of the technique of Arita ware, a notable porcelain that has a history of over 400 years.
To realize well-balanced filtration that keeps the sweetness, astringency, bitterness, acidity, and oil of coffee beans, the maker keenly considered the adjustment of its micro-pores, filtration speed, shape, and thickness of the product. Not only for coffee filtration, but also it can be used for tea and water to make them taste milder.
While 70 million disposal paper filters are thrown away every day, you can use this product over time by taking care. Thus, it contributes to the protection of the environment and the preservation of the forests.
By opening the box, the tea set transforms into a tea ceremony at once. It can be also a nice interior while you don’t use them. Compared to usual matcha sets, this ‘Nodate’ set (a term for the set used for open-air tea ceremonies) is made relatively small so it won’t take up space that much. As well as a tea starter kit, it also can be used as a casual alternative to daily coffee. The most elaborated part is the design which reflects Japanese tradition in a simple creation. We combined two Japanese traditional crafts, the matcha bowl is a Kyo-ware, ceramics made in Kyoto that is famous for its beautiful decollation, and the box is a Yamanaka-lacquerware, a well-known lacquer brand in Japan. The bowl’s painting was designed after the concept that describes the stages of learning to mastery, Shuhari(守破離)’.
